What is JAC?

What does JAC offer?
- We organize regular day trips in the nearby area, also weekends and several day trips to distant regions are sometimes proposed. These activities are usually offered as “among friends”, meaning that everyone is responsible for his/her own safety and health needs. Depending on the proposals of active members, the following activities are offered: hiking, climbing, mountaineering, nordic walking, ski touring, snowshoeing and other social activities in the mountains.
- We coordinate activities and courses (climbing, mountaineering, winter gym) which are held by professional trainers and/or alpine guides. JAC supports the organisation of these trainings at an accessible price for JAC members.
- We have an annual photo competition for JAC members with awards at the annual meeting.
- We organise on a regular basis presentations of alpine activities and/or to show mountain films, workshops for alpine and avalanche safety and rescue.
- We (financially) support the creation and maintenance of local crags (for climbing), as well as local initiatives supporting groups at risk of exclusion.
- We offer to our members the following conventions.
The information on our activities and events is mainly distributed through our mailing list and calendar.
