Introduction to outdoor climbing course
May 10 - May 24
€300
The course covers safe use of equipment and climbing progression techniques. This is an introduction level course, no experience is required, but having done some indoor climbing can help progress fast. The course is suitable for adults as well as minors, who however must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Depending on group skills and motivation, by the end of the 4 days participants can open (lead) easy routes and be able to climb independently.
The Alpine Guides can provide all equipment. The ratio guide:participants is 1:4.
Dates are May 10, 17, 23 and 24 (sometimes weather conditions the guide may decide to change the date – please keep 30 and 31 May as potential recovery days, or even replacing an outdoor day with an indoor gym one). These are full days spent at the climbing site. Generally we go to nearby climbing sites (Sangiano, Maccagno, Mergozzo, ecc), however sometimes weather may require going further (e.g. Quincinetto, Lecco) – usually carpooling can be organized within the group.
Participation is open to JAC 2026 members. The course will be confirmed as soon as we reach a minimum number of participants. Registrations close on April 24th
